I am thinking about buyin a shield, but i am worried about HD sound and Atmos passthrough so my reciver can handle it.
Is this working or soon to be implemented in kodi?

Yes i do, but there is contradicting statements, some have it working other dont, so i thought a question wasnt to much

Kodi 17 should implement proper handling HD passthrough. If I'm not mistaken, these builds here were experimental work-in-progress on it.
