Question to your DTS-ES: You really have one Surround Back Speaker in the correct position? I don't think so - so a nice "downmixing" would most likely improve your audio/visual impression.
Concerning the sync: The engine can compensate small sync issues easily. For Android it's WIP - also Android itself wise.

if you are a videophile, e.g. colors matter to you - then Android currently sadly is a no go ... who likes perfect audio with broken colors?
