To be honest, I haven't really looked in-depth into ATMOS and DTS:X. It's complicated stuff... 7.1 was much simpler, but I've gotten more and more interested in going 7.1.4 based on comments I'm reading. Hopefully it isn't just a placebo effect, and people actually do hear the difference
Going from 5.1 to 7.1 was good , but 7.1.4 is something else, is the future of home entertainment sound.
I am already enjoying 6D theater experience.
