The evolution of Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes, a project started just a little over a year ago on the Emby forums, has come full circle today. Initially conceived just to maintain support for the then upcoming Kodi 16 Jarvis, Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes (Dormer) has evolved and adapted; growing with an audience that had a demand for the continuation of Arctic Zephyr: Exploded. Far larger than we could have ever imagine, From Ashes Dormer brought about new experiences in the way you interacted with your media while staying true to its predecessor. Now, with this, the final release, support for Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Dormer is finally put to rest. Fret not for those of you still using Jarvis, the skin will work for as long as you need but you should prepare yourself for what's coming next.

What's Next? From Dormer to Caitlin Snow; Arctic Zephyr: For Another Age

The next chapters in the From Ashes Project are upon us. In the coming weeks you will learn the full scope of Arctic Zephyr: From Ashes Danvers, the upcoming release for Kodi 17 Krypton which is in Preview and find out what lies beyond Danvers: Caitlin Snow - From Ashes to For Another Age. Skins coming together, new designs, the way you enjoy your media is going to change. There might even be a special surprise waiting for Caitlin Snow/For Another Age but nothing I can talk about right now.

Danvers Preview Beta 6 is slated to be released before Christmas with Beta 7/RC1 coming in January to usher in the New Year. Caitlin Snow Development Platform Beta Preview is now in the planning stages.

And yes, I may have hinted at something big in the phrase "Caitlin Snow Development Platform Beta Preview" that I will let you all figure out. We'll also be sharing how updates are going to work with two concurrently working branches: Danvers and Caitlin Snow as we move forward although you can rest assured that Danvers will be supported for the life of Kodi 17 Krypton while Caitlin Snow will be supported from Kodi 17 to Kodi 18 and beyond.
