Thanks for the info. In fact I don't think anyone cares for the "writer" metadata so hiding those "codes" in the future will be just fine.
Trying to track down the "media stopped bug" I made a clean kodi install and instead of using the folder path "E:\Something" (I'm on Windows 10) I setup a smb file share and scrapped my library using network paths "smb://Something".
On this new setup I found out that I can't get "TV Shows" channels if using network smb paths on my library. Those channels are just blank on .m3u or xmltv, although the files are playing just fine on Kodi Video Player. Movies aren't affected and still work as before.
