Ah, then it would be picking up the first valid video file. So, again, same thing, since the first video file is probably the menus, it's scanning that.

As I say there might be an easy way for you to check movie file extensions, I think the "Media Browser" extension for Media Center uses this technique so it doesn't have to hard code all of them in, it just looks them up somewhere.
