I have my database stored on the server. I also use media info plus for all my nfo and fanart generation. The server also runs XBMC but it's just to update the database.
so. im trying to understand and to followed your steps. and it works! AWESOME! thank you very much supernoname.
just one hint for mklinking the directory. the default command is:
Code:
mklink /D <Symlinktobecreated> <Targetwiththexistingdatabasedir>
Code:
mklink /D c:\Users\<putyourusernamehere>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata\Database \\192.168.1.122\temp\Database
in windows 7 you MUST start the cmd.exe as administrator, otherwise the mklink command wouldn't work. in windows vista it worked out of the box.
but one question. media info plus creates some fanart and movie info stuff IN the movie dir? so xbmc read this instead of using the foldername for creating the database?
