I just skimmed through all of the pages, so I apologize if this was already pointed out.
When adding a custom menu item, on my Win machine, it worked fine, but on my XBMCLive install, nothing would happen. Debug pointed out that when adding a new menu item, a script in extra/favourites was trying to be referenced, while the path is actually extra/Favourites. Linux, being case sensitive, would cause this to fail.
Instead of trying to find references and change the case, I just created a symbolic link to Favourites with the name of favourites. This would avoid if there are multiple references with different uppercase/lowercase calls, until it is officially patched.
Just wanted to share.
