I did not already found time to test it, but there is for example, kylo, which is a browser dedicated to HTPC. There is also extensions, like NoSquint which improve browsing experiences on HTPC System. There is a lot a different solution. It depend on users taste and needs. The good thing is that there is no limitation with Advanced Launcher

You can also use Advanced Launcher functionalities for the same result.
