That is why I am wondering if it has to do with the language code embedded in the .mkv as when you play it it will read the info from the file again. Only a suggestion as I remux all my mkv's prior to posting them on my NAS to remove unwanted subs and make sure the language codes are correct and I have never had this issue.
EDIT: I realise it is with the flag turned off but something must be casuing it and as I have not experienced the issue just trying help by elliminating possible causes.
