When I got my RPi2 I ordered a Sony UHS1 card as well, this card is plenty fast but causes corruption. Every few days openelec fails saying the storage is corrupt, I moved storage to a usb key and that has worked great for 2 months but now I'm thinking of just getting another sd card and nothing having to rely on a usb key for storage. The Rpi is plugged into the TV's usb port but it has worked fine and only once had a rainbow square which was a cheap usb cable. I have since got a micro usb Y cable which uses 2 usb ports from the TV. I don't believe power is the issue since the usb key works fine and same issues occurred on the bedroom pi which was solved by a cheap 2GB card I had laying around so for sure it's the Sony SD card.

SandDisk are on dale at bestbuy in Canada, but not sure if its worth it.
