If i understand that wiki correctly:

Bookmarks can be used for movies. But you are only able to reach them via the video OSD. And there seems to be an old bug with it: https://trac.kodi.tv/ticket/16205
Maybe it's solved for Kodi 17.
That's different for TV-shows, where you are able to have multi-episode ISOs and use bookmarks to jump directly to that section you set the bookmark to.
