This works really well and easy.

At the end i get back the original xml file format only the translated parts show up as changed strings.

I was even made a test with a modified original xml file. With poedit (but i am sure launchpad also nows this function) i was able to make an update and the changed new strings appeared, the deleted strings disappeared with no problem. At the end i once again got back the correct translated xml file.

The only think to keep things maintained is to create the po template (pot) file from time to time using the current strings.xml files in svn or git and i guess upload to launchpad.

What do you think Spiff ? This could work out.

Can we make a test on xbmc launchpad ?
