ATM that's difficult due to the way it's been coded, original idea was movies on movies and music on music etc but came stuck on weather etc. However the backgrounds do need to be redone as individual backgrounds are clicking over too slowly, so I'll keep it in mind. It'll be a major mission to do the re-write, so right now I have absolutely no enthusiasm for the job

just upgraded to the Dev version.

another issue i have / see, is on the Movies section main menu , the widget, recent Movies it's not showing cases ... and i don't know why...

any clue where i can look ?

never mind , found the issue ;-)

Dev version has just been updated, home screen widgets can now be set individually as thumbnails or fanart - You may have to reset them in SkinSettings

Download and install the repo file. Goto get Addons, Select the Hybrid Repo. Under skins you'll find "Hybrid Development Skin" Current version is v1.0.1 as version numbers are on a different sequence to the "stable" skin. If you're still on original version you'll be offered the option to update.

Oh man don't know whats happend but since wiping out Hybrid and doing a fresh install with git version XBMC seems to have gone made artwork missing ie posters and fanarts not showing or showing in the wrong areas and now i'm getting this when scanning for new content "#overview-button .add to watchlist" don't think this is a skin problem but need to start somewhere lol cheers

Wow - That's pretty wierd!! I'm constantly uninstalling & re-doing XBMC, plugins & skins, haven't seen that problem. some artwork does go missing in reinstalling, but that's because I use artwork.downloader graphics which are not stored locally. I've some freetime tomorrow I'll see if I can mess up my system as well. All I can suggest though is turn on debugging and try see if there's anything in the log.

ok will do mate, done a complete fresh install of XBMC and still its made no difference lol so like you say i'll enable debug and see if theres anything showing up

Three things you need to do

First - Make a directory in the skins media folder and call it "MovieGenre"

Second - Enable the "Use External Genre" setting in the screenie below.

Third - Place genre PNG images in the folder named after your genre eg: Action, Comedy Crime etc.

Sorry - Dev version needs script.favourites-4.0.7 installed before updating. If I didn't add it as a dependency now - I'd forget before updating main Repo in a couple of weeks.

You may have to force an update now by installing the script.favourites and then extracting and copying the skin manually.

P.S. How's your library - Fixed yet?
