Awesome thanks a lot! Just wondering about one thing, why does it say on your releases page that it's 473 commits behind master?

https://github.com/fandangos/Kodi-HDR-Edition

Or is that just a bug on GitHub that it gets updated slowly?

Because you need to look at the Android-Bluray-Menu-2023 branch.

I'm not using the master branch for this project.

Ok. Thank you so much for being so quick with the update. Greatly appreciated Smile

May be a strange question, but what about playing HEVC 4K by Shield Pro from external USB HDD with KODI? I've tried but have just slide show instead of movie. It looks like too slow stream from HDD, but real transfer speed (in case of copying) is about 1 Gbps. I use https://www.orico.cc/us/product/detail/3256.html for HDD, videostream is about 60 mbps.

Purely copying files from one location to another is one thing, opening/reading a video file while decoding it in the background is a different sport.

So what's the possible solution?

Testing this today, I have a request.  Can you modify the name and the icon?
I've installed it on an Android TV and I can't immediately tell the difference between this version of Kodi, the current regular version of Kodi, or the OTHER modded version I have installed of Kodi.

Oh, and installed it on an Sony Android TV that's 8 years old.  The menus are pretty jerky.  I guess the processor might not be up to the job.

would it be possible for this to be rebased from master? - "This branch is 5 commits ahead, 868 commits behind xbmc:master."

Hi, great initiative here! Just wondering if anyone has got this to work smoothly on a recent Sony smart TV? I have an A95K and everything installs OK but most movies are very sluggish when playing with BD Menus -- even if there is a popup menu available but not activated the FPS is very low. I assume the TV is probably just not capable but if there's something I'm doing wrong I'd love to know.

@peterjcat It shounds like the decoderfilter.xml file was not copied over properly when you installed the JRE add-on.

Thanks for the tip! It actually looks like the decoderfilter.xml file is being copied over with the add-on, but maybe that's overwriting the Mediatek entries that the TV actually needs, rather than the Nvidia ones?

Here's the current file and here's one from a clean install which has entries for e.g. omx.mtk.video.decoder.hevc. Changing the <stills-allowed> to true on those entries seems to be helping -- should I be doing that for all of the video codecs? Any of the audio codecs? I'll keep experimenting anyway!

I'm not sure. As long as you do it for the codec that is used to decode the actual discs you are playing, you should be good. I think you can find the decoder that is being used in Kodi's debug log.
