Just a quick question as I cant find a reliable answer elsewhere.
Flash video- full-screen flash, video seems to freeze on my machine after a few minutes (audio continues).. some advised disabling hardware accel in flash settings, but that dosen't fix it, it just delays the inevitable freeze. I get this with iPlayer when I'm using xbmc. Anyone else had this or know how to fix it?
(WinXP Pro SP3, ASRock 330 Ion DualCore 1.6, 2GB ram, NVidia 9400, latest Flash Player)

The system is a pentium 4 with intel graphics (810 series). It manages to play the bbc hd streams fine with your plugin in XBMC. The same cannot be said for viewing in a browser on the iplayer webpage but i do not mind.
How does XBMC play the bbc streams? Are they in a flash format or h264? I am confused about this.
Wasn't and amd/ati backend for video decoding developed before VDPAU?
I will replace the system soon anyway as I cannot upgrade the graphics. It generally struggles in its current role. Any excessive movement on the screen that is not fullscreen video generally makes it sound like an airplane taking off. Sometimes it can't seem to cope with the XBMC menu graphics and crashes. I do still think there is something wrong with the skipping /seeking feature in iplayer plugin but the unstableness of the whole system overall makes it impossible to be sure of this.

Hi All,
I'm having a slight problem with the latest iPlayer plugin. It seems that to get it to work I need to shutdown XBMC, login as root (sudo bash) and then load XBMC back up again. It will then work fine until I shut down the machine. If I don't do this then, I can get as far as the channels only for an error to be thrown up.
I've checked the file privileges and they all seem correct (although I'm no Linux expert).
Just to give you a bit more insight; I've got a minimum Linux setup on an Acer Revo box.
Any help would be welcome.
Thanks,
JJ

Hi all,
Today I have upgraded Ubuntu to 9.10 and I have also updated XBMC from the repository.
Everything works fine except the iPlayer plugin the now takes ages to load each directory. Is anybody experiencing the same problem?
Thanks
