Yes to all three so I'm assuming it's the second point.
Is it more common that clearart just isn't available for a lot of items?

Especially since submenus is in a seperate category under widgets but requires a widget set in order to appear. I was able to set a "Search" submenu on the homescreen under the shortcut title but it also has a popup if I click up on the shortcut title. Is there a way to have the submenu under the shortcut without the accompanying pop up?

Submenu
The submenu is a sub-level menu connected to a main menu item. It is accessed by pressing info or up/left on a main menu item. This behaviour cannot be disabled without deleting the submenu entirely.

Fullscreen Widget
This widget is shown in the background as fullscreen fanart. Here you can see it showing because there are no widgets set. It will also display in the Showcase Hub or if the Fullscreen Special Widget is set.
Image

---

Submenu Hub
This is a separate window which displays the Submenu as a series of buttons with the Hub Widgets underneath. It is accessed by setting a main menu action to the "Submenu Hub" shortcut provided under the "Common" shortcuts section. Each submenu item can have it's own "Hub Widget". Alternatively, the hub widget set for the main menu item will be used as a fallback if the submenu item doesn't have a hub widget set.

---

Showcase Hub
Same as the Submenu Hub but with a different visual style. Additionally, it displays the Fullscreen Widget in the background.

Special Widgets
These widgets are used to achieve a home screen setup which mimics the style of the showcase hub.
The "Fullscreen" special widget is used to force the group to display the fullscreen widget even if other widgets are set.
The "Submenu" special widget is used to display the showcase hub style submenu as a home screen widget.

For the Movies View how do you get both Full Screen Widget and the normal recently added widget both?

In this submenu hub view the way the plot text wraps and the gap at the right of the screen suggests something should be displayed there.

Is clearart not an ideal candidate here?

Also not seeing clearart in this situation on the homescreen...

Obviously since the divider isn't visible there, it's kind of odd, but that space feels so empty Sad

That option was removed as of 0.5.0, in favor of the newer implementation.

No because the submenu buttons continue onto the right and would overlap - I just happen to have fewer than would fill the whole screen. Also I would need to use fixed width buttons otherwise to be able to control the spacing properly.

The plot is not fullscreen width because it's really hard to read very wide text boxes on a large TV.

Also this window has not changed at all. This is how it has always been.

Nothing I can do about it unfortunately. For technical reasons clearart needs to be connected to the widget itself and there's no way for the widget to tell what is next in the group so you end up with overlaps if the info widget happens to hide for whatever reason.

Youre not forced to put info widgets in any order but for the best experience they should be placed at the top of the group.

I'm trying to find a solve to make the widget under fullscreen widget behave more like the info widget (ie force itself to be bottom row with info above) - just the skinning engine makes this grouplist positioning stuff really difficult and it requires using complex hacks to get it working right. EDIT: This navigation quirk should be fixed in latest, so this will be less of a problem now.

Additional ratings are not working for me. I can only see the 5 star rating.

I first installed as described "TheMovieDb Helper" plugin and the "SkinVariables" script.
Then installed the skin from the JurialMunkey repo.

In the TheMovieDb Helper > Settings  > API Keys I added the OMDB API key.

I turned on debugging on both Kodi and TheMovieDb Helper I don't see any related errors.
It's a clean Kodi install on my Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro. It did work in the past.

TheMovieDb Helper: 3.3.13
SkinVariables: 0.2.1
Arctic Horizon: 0.5.14
Nvidia Shield 2019 Pro, Nvidia Shield 2015

Why not implement same view for all widgets as the full screen widget rather then using the vignette look? I like how the full screen widget is looking however when I scroll down to other widgets the full screen goes into vignette/overlay mode and you will see at the top a part of the previous widget row. I think the full screen widget looks very clean.

See picture.. basically move everything little bit up so posters of widget can be seen entirely.. keep the full screen and bottom line of widget can be changed by scrolling down. More the idea of picture 2 but have the background more bright and same as full screen widget.

Hope it makes sense my explanation

Ah damn, I didn't test with that number of items. Was trying out a fixed position list but I think the alignment is going to be too much of a pain, so I've reverted it back to a standard list. Should be working properly now.

Can confirm it's now fixed in 0.5.22, thanks.
