I found a bug when playing a multi cd movie from this script: it only shows the first cd. Playing it from library goes without problems.

I've attached a debug log to pastebin: here

what i did was:
- startup
- start al multi cd movie from Spotlight (randomitems script in Xperience1080)
- forward to the end (which is just the end of cd one)
- look up the movie in Movies and start it from there (then it plays normal, the complete 2cds)

I thought about this the other when the $INFO/$ESCINFO discussion started.

We don't don't use <onclick>PlayMedia($INFO[...])</onclick> for music items as it's all handled by the script and we simply use <onclick>$INFO[...]</onclick>. So where is the $ESCINFO used?

you should use $ESCINFO[] when passing an infolabel to a built-in function.

so in your example, for playing albums, it's not needed.
but for movies, one should use PlayMedia($ESCINFO[ListItem.Path])

Was wondering if someone can help me.

Would it be possible to have the script return random movies from genres (action,drama,comedy,etc.) and random movies from top250?



Making a new skin and would like the two "featured" panels to be random "Comedy" and a random "IMDB Top250" movie.

If not then would it be possible to implement it in the next release? and is there a short term solution?

yea but I already have Watchlist and this script running, Would rather limit my skin to as few (2) possible scripts on startup.

In short term i can use the RandomAndLastItem script.

if i'm not mistaken, genres are localized (depending on which scraper you use),
so i don't see a way to reliably do this.

Hello Hitcher, Ronie. I have errors in script random item, when use randomize item, using latest xbmc frodo nightlies..please look my log, and try fix, I know script work fine in eden.
