Sick Beard - Automatic TV Show Episode download/sort/rename, nfo/tbn maker & TV Guide
ECEC Wrote:I'm facing the same thing with Sealab 2021. Sickbeard grabbed the full season nzbs of 1, 2, & 3, but there were more episodes per season in the nzb file than on TVDB. Really tired of having this dumb issue.

And Mythbusters last season and a ton of Anime shows.

Why not....I am using a headless windows 7 machine as my server. I have put the exe file in the windows start up directory and it works fine.
What problem do you have when you try this?

SB is suddenly referring to Aqua Teen Hunger Force as Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1.

It's been working fine until a recent update, so I'm guessing the changes in commit 6ca25fd30a59e6f68935c07a440e162af4a1c097 might have something to do with it, as this name is listed in the scene exceptions.

Looking at cache.db, I have three exceptions cached for tvdb_id 77120: Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Aqua Unit Patrol Squad, and Aqua Unit Patrol Squad 1 (the name that's showing).

Is SB just taking the last name in the exceptions list? It should prefer the name that the user actually typed for the show, as this is the name the user wants the show to be known as…

Maybe they are specials ?

Also .. when it is not on TheTVDB .. it is not an Sickbeard issue .. but a TheTVDB issue .. so maybe complaining there might help ....

Unfortunately, complaining over there doesn't do anything. For a site with roots in basically ripping data from the old tv.com, they sure did get pretentious. I'm not worried about it too much, tbh. Smile

Question: If I have a folder of episodes, what's the easiest way to get Sickbeard to rename/move them? Putting them all in individual folders is kind of a pain. I suppose I could rename/move them myself, but that's a pain as well.

just started using this but im getting frustrated because its not finding all my exisiting shows because they are still in .rar files which has never been a problem with XBMC before as it reads and plays them fine.

i normally dont bother extracting once i've downloaded because xbmc handles this so well.

for example:

my glee S1 are all .rars i didn't bother to extract after downloading so they look like this:

T:\A-N\Glee\S1\Glee.S01E01.720p.BluRay.x264-SiNNERS

s1 doesn't get found by sickbeard.

however my S2 have all been extracted and are like this:

T:\A-N\Glee\S2

and it finds them fine.

this is a problem, because i have like 18tbs of tv shows and a hell of alot of them are still archived in zip files.

how do i make it so sickbeard reads them?

If you place them in a dummy download directory and tell sb to scan and process I guess that will do it.
You can also use the sorttv script. Thats what I did before I started using sb and my sorted shows fitted directly into sb.

If not possible re-process them with sb post processing or sorttv and it will work fine.

i really dont have the brains to figure out how to use sortTV, by the time i got it setup i could probally manually just extract everything and copy/paste them back over for sickbeard to read fine.

i tried sickbeard postproeccesing on them but it doesn't detect the .rar files

A random idea came into my head, seperate download blackhole folders for the daily and backlog nzb files.
Previously I wouldn't have noticed, but I'm working through a backlog of 500 episodes in sab, and the new daily episodes were added at the back of the queue. Sad
If there were seperate foldrs, sab could be set up to give the daily one a high priority than the backlog one, and everything would work out loverly.

NB, if this is already a feature, or been suggested before, sorry. It pretty much just came to me and I wanted to share/suggest it ASAP.

ending up finding a semi-solution to my problem.

found a program called SCRU

which seems really good so far, i set it to watch a directory and it will extract everything in there and move it where i want.

so i can just do that, then go thru the sickbeard postprocessing solution.

Walk me through this? I know I can manually post-process, but that's one at a time. I thought the Add Shows section was just for stuff that's already been sorted. I don't see a way to "tell sb to scan and process".

I'm pretty sure backlog is added with a 'normal' priority, and daily searches are added with a 'high' priority. At least that's the way it works for me (running from source).

well, have you looked in config/ post process?
You have a scan and process tick box

Quote:Scan and post-process any files in your TV Download Dir? .
NOTE: Do not use if you use sabToSickbeard w/ SABnzbd+! .

If you select a folder that is NOT your download dir it will not conflict with the SABnzbd sorting. Then you can manually move the files you want re-sort into this folder.

BTW, the manual post processing does not seem to be per show...so that would be another possibility.

I got mine working well with that, SABnzbd downloads to an incomplete folder somewhere, then moves it to complete when its done.

i set sickbeard to look in that complete folder so it post-proeccesses any new stuff. works good so far and will be awesome for any new stuff that comes thru as it just puts it in the directory its supposed to go in once its processed it.

doesn't work that great for a library you already have though, but im spending the time now to clean up and get my library sorted, with the help of SCRU and then i'll be set.

loving this so far, i've been using USENET For years and this is the bloody bomb.

Are you using the direct integration into Sab or via the folder black hole? I'm currently using the black hole method, so all NZBs regardless of type get loaded according to the rules for that folder in Sab.

I just looked at the direct option, and it's still asking for a category to load it as, an in Sab my categories have different priorities.

So whats your method to get them loaded correctly with priorities? Laugh

Well, I would have sworn there was a setting in SB to add items using a High priority, but I can't find it. Items are added as high, though, at least using the direct method.

If you're using the blackhole method, you can add folders for your categories and SAB will pick it up. So if you save a nzb to \blackhole\movies it'll use movies for the category.

You could have another instance of Sickbeard setup to do just backlog searches and save to a specific dir. Prolly too much work, though.
