Sorry guys, portable just doesn't work at my computer and seems many other users have this problem also.
I've found this site, that does offer a good portable solution! Yeeej ! ;-)

If on Windows then portable is not truely portable as XBMC needs the C++ and DirectX stuff installed, if the system does not already have those installed then XBMC won't run.
