Hallo,

Wanted to give a short update on the Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus
I still have it.
The seller asked me to contact Dune-support, which I did.
They pointed me to a new release of the Software.
This version can connect to the SMB-share on my NAS.
So I have access to my movies now.
First installing the Software still is an issue from my point of view, but once it is installed it can be updated within the app.
So I am tempted to keep it, as it is working for me and I can see updates / changes coming.

Short update after I have received the Dune HD Homatics Box R 4K Plus.
It was a very underwhelming experience to be frank.
The Dune App can currently not be downloaded from App Store, but this can be done with the description from the Web page.
Performance in general seems to be OK.
But in the Dune App I did not manage to connect to the SMB-share of my NAS.
The Kodi-App from Play Store was able to connect to this SMB-share, but in Kodi I only have 1920 even though a UHD-TV is connected (tried even two different UHD-TV).
So for me there is absolutely no benefit to switch from my Media-PC.
The Dune will be returned, as I am not willing to wait month/years for software changes to get functions I need now.

in your previous post you reported an inability to change the resolution from 1080p ("but in Kodi I only have 1920 even though a UHD-TV is connected")

has that been resolved with the software update as well?
