yep, it pegs the cpu.
And after a reboot, I MUST delete the viewmodes.db before trying to open any filemode source bookmarks, or it will just lock again. If the the source I open has only a small amount of objects in it, it will resume after 15-20 sometimes, and the log just shows a 20 min gap, but no errors, and if I go back, then in again, same thing. The only thing that will make it stop freezing is deleting the viewmodes.db file, and not making any further sort changes. Like I said, it's been doing it on every platform build, for about a year now.
Info on my setup:
Media Server is XP pro SP3, software raid 5 dlls from 2003. 4 1TB WD drives on software raid.
1 share, with 4 sub folders named Movies, Kids Movies, New Movies, New Kids Movies, 5 sub folders in each, named Action, Drama, Comedy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Family. 2 for TV named "Television", and "Kids Television", both have sub-folders named for each TV show with various episodes in each.
The source bookmarks are multisource, 1 with all 25 multisources named "All Movies" and 6 others multisource bookmarks like: "Drama" that point to the 5 dramas, and so on. "New Movies" multisource pointing to the subfolders of the two upper level folders named New. 3 "Television" folders, 1 to each of the two, and 1 pointing to both.
All media has a TBN an NFO, and a -fanart along side each file, and multi part files are stacked with a regex for (xofx) as in (1of2).
1 Acer Revo ubuntu 10.4 with 33122, 3 xboxs, 1 tsop, 1 Excalibur, 1 softmod, various builds, and a Sony VAIO netbook running XBMC as well on XP. My daughters xbox locks after sort various bookmarks differently too, and she only has shares with the word "Kid" in them, and that's about half as many.
I can post logs, but I posted logs before, and it just shows a time gap, nothing else. It has something to do with the multisource bookmarks, or the amount of data in the viewmode.db file, or both. I have no idea, but if you really think you can track it down, I'll post whatever you want, it's been awhile, and I kind of just gave up the idea of having different sorting on different folders, but would love for it to work correctly if possible.
