[RELEASE] Ninja Video Plugin
^ I was using UnluckyPauls Veohproxy last night and all was well although it is a bit hit and miss but could have something to do with Ninja site as well.

Using Beta2 and latest Ninja release.
No it`s fine as is.
I have found that it connects more often when the threads are lower on my system, that`s all.

The only other problem with that mod is that it doesn`t send the veoh client user agent when requesting the hashes and sometimes generates a 400, but it caches fast so it doesn`t really matter.

veoh are just on a purge.
how do I get this to work, I placed if under xbmv/plugins/video and went to scripts, selected ninja video...but nothing. Says running then stops

Update: errr nevermind I'm an idiot, thanks for the awesome work!
Hi,

I've not been able to get the NinjaVideo plugin to work, and I'm hoping someone here can help. Basically, I have the same problem that ould had back in post 171 of this thread: I can navigate to, say, "3. TV SHOWS\Weeds" and when I try to enter the Weeds directory, I see a dialog flash by that says "Loading directory Retrieved 0 items"

My Setup:
XBMC: XBMC-SVN_2008-08-19_rev15026-T3CH
NinjaVideo: Ninja_Video20-10-08
VeohProxy: 1.51

I've also tried the VeohProxy that unluckypaul modified back on page 17 or so of this thread. (And yes, I did run either proxy prior to starting the NinjaVideo plugin.)

Inspecting my xbmc.log file, I noticed that there are a couple errors with finding files in the path of the NinjaVideo plugin, but those don't exist in Voinage's NinjaVideo distribution.
http://pastebin.ca/1238415

Also, I have no problems running other streaming video from Navi-X, Apple Movie trailers, etc. And I can see NinjaVideos on my PC, using the Windows version of VeohProxy.

I hope someone can help out, let me know if you need more information.

Thanks!
Ninja are now using Megavideo as their flash based server.
Megavideo cut their films randomly to make you sign up for their service.

I will release a version that supports it, but don`t complain when they cut off.
Ninja video with flash support released.

Again, don`t complain about the video cutting off, google megavideo & learn about what they are up to.

Mad respect.
The Ninja Helper has just been updated from 0.2.4 to 0.3.0 and has messed up the Veoh Proxy. I tried changing the line in VeohProxy to 0.3.0 instead of 0.2.4, but that didn't fix it. Needless to say, Ninja Video doesn't work at the moment. The plug-in update is exciting though. I can't wait to try it out for real once the proxy is up and running again.
It`s about time.
The Ninja`s have implemented a totally different way of hiding the filehashes on their server.
(DSA & SHA-1 algo`s with obfuscated code, if anyone wishes to play, enjoy.)
Any updates to Veohproxy will make no difference unless the correct method of hashfile decoding is implemented.

Flash files will run (barely) blame megashi*eo.

Rest well Ninja Plugin.

Development - Ended, apart from personal use.

@mantorras - good luck. Hehe.

For now the flash files will run (barely) blame megashi*eo.

Veoh can still easily find the filehashes though. At least I can :p
Hi,

will there be a new version of VeohProxy for PC users? Currently (v1.51) NinjaVideo doesn´t work.

thanks!

Argh. Sun seems to be setting on the golden era of ninja video streaming just as I finally sorted out an internet connection for my faithful xbox again. I've been going into complete internet withdrawal for several months, I get someone round at long last to install a new phone line so I can have an ADSL connection to my xbox....

Shame.

Flash seems to be working as Vin pointed out. Any chance the crew from NV will help us? Phara seemed quite keen on the xbox scene - perhaps they can help us circumvent the new link hiding jiggery-pokery?
Um you must not know Phara very well. Despite the BS she said in this thread I can guarantee they did nothing to help with the python script. It was figured out by reverse engineering. Phara and the Ninjavideo crew are lets just say not the most friendly bunch on the planet.

Maybe if I get the time over thanksgiving break I will delve into this a bit. Even though they may be using encryption, the keys will have to be in the java bytecode. Since the requests to veoh will have to remain unencrypted it seems a bit silly for ninjavideo to think that veoh cant easily find the videos on their servers and remove them if they so choose. It really only makes it harder for people to use ninja with 3rd party scripts like this one.

I cogitate that you are slightly incorrect, Sir/Madam.

It was not figured out via reverse engineering of ninja but packet sniffing and reversing Veohs` client.

Phara has been very affable and has never been anything other than polite towards myself and the members of this board.

If you decompile their applet, the DSA and SHA-1 keys are plainly visible.

So if you choose to play with the byte code looking to crack the obfuscation i say good luck to you.
Cryptography is older than language also they are not really using veoh anymore.

If they change the referrer & and a few other tiny things then they could easily hide for a long time. After all, veoh are getting all the correct information as if it was their own internal client - no difference at all.

Other than hard packet sniffing and industrial traces, and i do not really think they are that interested, what is the point.

Good luck with your Graal.

a lot of their videos are now hosted on archive.org....
