I've been using this skin for the last month or so on my main HTPC, it's pretty stable for a Beta! Great work…. I'm interested what the “Widget panel” setting does? I’m not sure I’m doing something right I think you get there by going to: > skin settings > clicking up on the menu item > and there’s an option for "widget panel" - sorry I’m being vague, I’m at work and doing this off the top of my head!

I was under the impression that if i added a widget it would show on the home screen ? i guess what I’m trying to achieve is something similar to what Confluence does, where you can add a "short cut" from the home screen for add-ons, ideally the On-demand add-ons such as the BBC iPlayer etc?


Is this the idea of the Widget panel or have i completely misunderstood?!!

I have one issue. I have downloaded the latest aeon nox development branch from git and script.skinshortcuts development branch from BigNoid. To start from scratch i have deleted the settings from userdata/addon_data for the aeon skin and skinshortcuts.

I restart Kodi and it seems i have a blank install. Now i like to add the widgets to the home screen. So i went to the settings and enabled the widget 1 and widget 2. After configuring i went back to the home menu.
The widget 1 is ok but widget 2 is missing. No matter what kind of widget i choose (list,extended list,mixed) for widget 2, i have widget 1 only.

Do you have any idea why widget 2 is not appearing?

This is all still WIP. Widget 2 is not done yet. If you look at GitHub, there is a To-Do list (as an issue) that shows what is still not complete.

Widget 2 is broken in the dev branches. Mr. V is working on getting everything right in widget 1 before building the widget 2 code.

I intalled this skin some time ago & just couldn't get all the fantastic features wrking properly.. so i uninstalled (skin & kodi), reinstalled kodi and just been using the std confluence for the time being. I've been following along to see if my noob brain will absorb some of the great knowledge from all the great contributors to this skin.. my simple question is this - would the first post have the most current version at this point?? Or is subscribing to the git repo recommended for that? I am still wrapping my mind around the whole git thing-a-ma-jig..
Not sure if I'm ready to give it a shot again, but i see a lot of links posted and was just wondering..

Post one has pointers to the lastest Isengard and Jarvis, the master is stable and for Jarvis. Everything else going on right now is new development for Jarvis and as such WIP.

If you are on Jarvis, then download / install the master branch and then go through Schimi's FAQ's, links in post 1 but starting @ post 8. If you're still on Isengard, why?, just either change to the isengard branch on GITHUB or use the alternative link in post 1 to a separate Isengard GITHUB repo of the skin, but Isengard isn't really being updated right now and not sure in the future as Jarvis is taking a lot of work from some very talented people, not including me, and there is already changes required for Krypton! Keeping a skin operational for multiple versions of Kodi is becoming a difficult task (for me).

There is A LOT to configure but that's one of the main ideas behind Madnox.

dRwOOD : One of the great things about Kodi & all the skins & especially Aeon / Nox /Madnox is the customization. You choose what you want for the skin & set it up accordingly. As per Mike's suggestion 7 seeing you are on jarvis I would advise to go for the the Madnox from Mike_Doc's github .. as is on the first post. Now go through all the options in ALL the settings one by one and feel for yourself what suits you best.. Hours of fun & bundles of joy afterwards !! The experience one gains from setting everything up for one self is nothing anyone can ever teach you. ... Don't Give Up... sure it seems like an uphill struggle but once you start doing it you will get the knack for it quickly I can bet..

I'd like to have with this skin an entry on main menu that allow me to play Audio CDs and Physical DVDs from the optical drive. Can someone tell me how to configure this entry on main menu?

Kodi can do this by default, go into Video menu and you will see the disc mentioned there with options.

We had a solution in the skin for music viz auto but have found that due to a skin change in Jarvis it has been effectively lost. We are looking into how to resolve the issue in Jarvis onwards,

With regards to your custom, sorry don't know at this time why that is not working but I would suggest you lose the allowoverlay if you are running Jarvis, I believe that is no longer required.

We have a solution that isn't 100%, or at least i have problems when running it.

Will take a look again and see what / if the problem exists, but it probably won't make it to GIT until after the major dev ongoing is complete.

If I get it working better I'll let you know a workaround so you can have the fix in the meantime.

How long should it take to install? I downloaded jarvis zip file, and install from zip but it's not doing anything. Am I missing a step, or does it just take longer to install?

Okay so I got it to install, but I dont think it installed properly. The menu bar items are not visible, only a few are visible. Any ideas if the install didnt happen correctly
