Just a small question..
Does everybody using a rasp pi3 also have lots of freezes when using netflix add-on..
Normally one episode works fine.. then stutter starts and even freezes often..
This is not only on my raspberry pi3 ( with class 10 sd ) but on most devices i have..
Macbook-pro with testing kodi...
X96 S905X device..
My network isn't the fastest but a minimum of 15mbps download i have...
best regards Ozzy

Main problems with netflix on RPi are lack of CPU power and overheating.
Watch out if the thermometer icon appears in the top right of the screen, that indicates too high temperature and RPi will throttle CPU speed - and you get stuttering.
My non-overclocked RPi3 is not fast enough to cope with the typical peak bitrates of 720p streams and I had to limit maximum bandwidth to 3mbit/sec in the inputstream.adaptive settings. Picture quality isn't too great with this low bitrate though.
You can use the playerdebug overlay (shift+ctrl+o) to monitor buffer status (if you suspect network issues) and cpu load. If you see that 2 CPU cores are maxed out (100%) the bitrate is too high.
so long,
Hias

Thanks for the in depth-analysis, Milhouse. I just created a Trac-ticket, hope it's understandable. Feel free to comment on it

Hi Milhouse, the ticket has been commented, but I have no idea what it means for my case. Could you please have a look at it?

It means the new behaviour is by design, and Hyperion will need to be updated to use the new Kodi 18-only notifications once they are added to JSON-RPC.
In short, Hyperion is broken for now with Kodi 18 master. At some point the Hyperion developer will need to make the necessary changes to support Kodi 18, once the new notifications are available.

Thanks. That's crashing in the video settings - most likely due to PR:12944 added in #1025). I'm seeing it too on Generic, when Kodi will crash after stopping playback of any video from the library. The developer is aware and will investigate.
Can anyone confirm if this issue is still present in builds later then #1024?
Would be testing it myself but it happens so random.
Thanks.

I've found #0911 a good build with everything still working fine.
Thank you both for the awnsers. i have over clocked one of my raspberry's... ( on safe side : 1300 500 500 OV 5 )..
this with a big heatsink and small Fan on top of it..
And indeed i use also PVR plugin ( VU+/Enigma2 PVR ) ( working in all 17 up to 17.5 builds perfect ) where until now still are troubles in these test builds....
I must say it is not just on raspberry but on all my devices running leila.... and i saw when using pvr ...the time bar is not displaying properly...
Anyway i am going to test #0911 right away.. but i am affraith that the version of VideoPlayer input stream will be outdated..
Best regards Ozzy..
