Quick look at my network settings is showing that my DNS has gone to 127.0.0.1 would that stop me from getting into it?

yeah, all the binaries I compiled are x86_64 only

EDIT: i tried with chormiumOS and same thing, no errors just doesn't work, I even factory reset everything back to fully stock and then re-wrote the standalone firmware to it... but still nothing.
