Great! So now I know to stick with python 2.5 syntax.
Let me know when you do figure out the issues, though I think I can explain most of them (maybe...). The two shows being updated will happen after the first run, or if it failed after watching a show. The first run just goes through all of the shows and updates any that haven't been listed on MAL, while the fail case basically can't update anything, so it just sits and waits, but since it only runs after a show is ended, it'll only update MAL then. If it says 0 shows are updated, that usually means the show wasn't marked as completed in XBMC, which could be for various reasons. I'm not sure why it said it updated an episode when you re-watched some shows, unless there was another show it updated. If a show has been marked as watch at all, it won't update it on MAL. So that's weird.
Anyway, those are just conjectures, they may or may not be the actual reasons. I hope you enjoy XBMAL!
