I'm using this one: http://xbmcnightlybuilds.com/openelec-vi...-download/

Everything works so far, played some mkvs and DVDs with an external DVD drive, all works perfectly. Low CPU usage, no lags.

I love OpenElec but on my system, it randomly starts opening addon configs for youtube, 1channel etc.

may be tonight I'll clone my existing setup system and try it again

I know that page ...but the beta is an IMG file not a tar.gz file with the scripts...

I want instructions for that.

After reading the long thread still haven't find how the DN2820 compared to the 1007U?
Anyone that used both can help?

open a terminal and type

diskutil list

You should get something like this

/dev/disk0
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: GUID_partition_scheme *500.1 GB disk0
1: EFI 209.7 MB disk0s1
2: Apple_HFS Macintosh HD 499.2 GB disk0s2
3: Apple_Boot Recovery HD 650.0 MB disk0s3
/dev/disk1
#: TYPE NAME SIZE IDENTIFIER
0: FDisk_partition_scheme *8.0 GB disk1
1: DOS_FAT_32 UNTITLED 8.0 GB disk1s1

In this example /dev/disk1 is your USB stick. So you'll type

zcat OpenELEC-Generic.x86_64-3.95.1-efi.img.gz | dd of=/dev/disk1 bs=4M

you may have to use sudo if you get the error "dd: /dev/disk1: Permission denied"

Crucial Memory Advisor Tool says this module is not compatible.

http://www.crucial.com/store/partspecs.a...1264BF160B

This part CT51264BF160B is not compatible.
View compatible parts for the DN2820FYK.

Can anyone confirm this??

TIA

Yes.... the compatible RAM has J on the end... so the right one would be CT51264BF160BJ and not CT51264BF160B.

Hi there!

My NUC is set up and works very well on the OpenElec 4.0 Beta 1.

I'm having a small issue, though. My wireless logitech keyboard K400 is sometimes sooooo laggy, in this release.

Is anyone having this issue?

Thanks! Smile
