is it possible to put this addon in a server so all the pc that connect to the server can import the channels?
I want this option because if you start to watch channel is one room and you want to move to a different room with different pc you will be able to continue watch the channel.
is it possible?
thanks.

At the first page under "post 2" there are detailed info for channel sharing...
thanks for answering.
I want to run the master in a server at the house. so this server isn't connected to a tv, just sending tv to all others pc in the house.
I didn't understand if when I start pseudotv on the server if there is an option it will run at background but won't display the channels, just stream them for the clients.
I saw there is an option called "video mirroring" and maybe this is what I am looking for: every tv can watch any channel from pseudo but the server will not need to actually run the channels (there is no need to 24/7 running video there because no tv is connected to it directly).
thanks for your help.
Recently, after I close PseudoTV Live and then try reopening it I am receiving an error "PsuedoTV Live Already Running". The only way to resolve it, is to restart KODI which then PseudoTV Live will start and not have that message.
Alright the struggle goes on for me. PseudoTV Live is by far the greatest addon ever made, just wanted to begin with that. It was the true reason I started with xbmc and it truly makes the whole media center experience come together.
That being said I am having some troubles.

1. I know it is recommended to still use gotham with PTVL, but I am using a cubox and the first official version of openelec for it uses helix.
2. I read somewhere the cubox-i has issues with PTVL, not sure how or why that would be true, it is a powerful little monster (the i4-pro)

That being said, I have these issues and considering it seems quite small an issue maybe it can be resolved.
I also have some other tiny issues I will post for the sake of getting all the information.

1. Adding channels, auto-tune - if I say to only add channels from playlists or just movie genres it does not listen. If I autotune I will be getting streams and rss added to the autune channels no matter what autotune setting I put.

2. Adding channels manually from within the addon - I cannot add custom playlists this way any more, it does not give a text box to browse for the playlist, just shows custom playlist. To make custom playlists as channels manually I must do it fully manually within settings2.xml, like with strams and other online sources

3. When I run PTVL with my custom playlists as channels the EPG stays blank, and if opened will not close.
Basically PTVL opens up, if I press channel up or down the channel will change like normal.
The info bar will show when pressing info, and if info bar is open and I press to the left I do get the sidebar menu.
But, shown in the image, if I open the epg it is completely blank, no channels, no nothing but the background of the epg.At this point the epg is stuck. will not close, cannot shutdown PTVL, and if i press shortcuts to say the music library it will show the files and folders behind the epg, almost like it has closed ptvl but the epg is stuck.

Blank EPG Stuck on Screen
EPG Stuck, Navigating Folders in Background with Shortcuts on Remote

Back won't work, really nothing works except the shortcuts and thats it once I open the EPG.
Using irw I can see that keypresses are being sent to the system.

I have disabled everything that should cause issues, dynamic artwork, logos are as text, no online sources are used, doesn't change 1x1 to s01e03, cahce enabled, all dependencies installed except vevo and ustvnow, im in canada, tried all the skins for it, tried confluence and other skins for kodi, no background updating, do not find extra information, disabled watch flagging

not sure what else i can do.

One thing to note is that if I make channels out of the tv networks only all seems to work fine.

In total I have about 50 - 75 playlists being used, all local and all files on local server, not a lot considering the 1000 it can take into the epg.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give.

Also here is my log file

kodi.log file
Hey guys, I'm curious about a channel setting that I'm not entirely sure I understand fully. When using a direct plugin (channel type 15), we can set this value:

Code:
<setting id="Channel_#_3" value="25" />

Luna describes this setting as such: "File limit, Example 25 will parse 25 files per 25 directories found."

Now, if I have a structure like this with a setting of 25:

Code:
Plugin
... ... Sub Menu 1 (13 Videos)
... ... Sub Menu 2 (12 Videos)

Will this count as two directories, or will it combine them to make a total of 25 files and count it as one directory? This is probably a really stupid question, but I can't find my answer else where.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe artwork spooler hasn't finished yet...
Where do I find the information necessary to update our skins to work with the newest build? I'd be glad to help out updating some of the older skins if I have the specifications necessary.
What version of extendedinfo.script does PTVL support? Should we go with the newest version on girhub or does it matter?
Hey luna
i remember a few months ago i gad a problem with populating channels.
it would get stuck (usually on the same playlists) with no error messages and sometimes it would just populate ok.

in the past we had a problem when the description of the movie exceeded a certain number of characters. is this still an issue?
thanks
Updated to the latest version 0.5.7e and the guide is much quicker and doesn't have the lag the previous version. The one thing I did notice, I have a few channels that are directories with the videos contained in that directory (files that are not in the KODI library), the previous versions of PseudoTV Live randomized the videos in those directories in the EPG, with the new version, the files are played one after the other by the way they are listed in the directory. I am not sure if there is a setting that randomizes those videos, being I didn't see a setting in the settings or channel configuration window.
aloha, first off THANK YOU, Ive been after somthing like this for years,

As this thread is over 500 pages long, I hope you will forgive a couple questions... Ive been using xbmc for years, Im currently using the Kodi build becouse of the pheonix plug in. Im very interested in adding one of these live streams to a channel (primary goal). PsueduLive is working pretty well, I get control breaks as i loose keyboard/remote usaage that requires a windows reload. all in all this program roxs hard.

So Ive been trying to get the super favorites into my channels. that didnt seem to work, but ill try again as its only my first few attempts. so Im wondering if I eddit settings2, (which Ive tryed a few times) but cant seem to crack it. so first off what 'Kind" of stream is this?

(note I edited the IP above with the z's) hopefuly this isnt forbiden to post..

I see the rtmp... so I guess what Im asking is, what "value" is this? a 8, 9, 11 ?
is there anything Im NOT seeing here?

last question, Im going to start reading this thread pages 0-20ish then skip to 500- what is the state of Pseudo live with regard to Kodi? and how far back should i read the thread as to get more updated info and not 2011 stuff? no insult here, I want to know as much as I can about this program, but 500 pages Wink

thanks for any responses in advance... Well here I go diving in to the thread Smile
@wrichards, I understand 500+ pages can be overwhelming, but you could have at the least attempted to read the first three posts written by me.

Maybe then you would have read the rules for posting, which clearly state not to share illegal links! Edit your post!

Use the random order advanced channel rule, read milkmans guide to PseudoTV to brush up on channel configuration options.

I'm not sure if Phil65 pushed to code to repo yet, So I would use the master git inorder to use the new features.

I just discovered in the advanced channel rules if you go the other direction (I was using the left arrow) using the right arrow there are different options you never cycle through just using the left arrow. I found the random mode that way, being I never found it using the left keyboard arrow.
is this a paid app ? r free for anyone to use ?
my system automatically updated to 57e tonight and now it will not load...

once PSTV loads, I get the loading channel bar, for a split second then it disappears... behind that I just get the PLEASE WAIT text, nothing ever happens.... it just locks up XBMC, I do not use autotune...

Running Frodo on this machine still... any help?
