hi everybody

i can't reach the subtitle option in the xmbc add ons (for example IceFilm)
the movies starts well, but when i wanna look subtitle the window open up for one second and then close it
what can i do?

Hi, i had a problem with subdivx. From the rest of the service i can download subtitles. Since a week ago, never found subtitles and check the next service, also in frodo as Eden. The log: http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=26735
But if you open the page directly in the web browser, shows the subtitles.

I found the problem with subdivx but I don't know how to submit a patch.

The solution is simple. Edit service.py for Subdivx. Find this line:

downloads = int(matches.group(2)) / 1000

change it into this line:

downloads = int(matches.group(2).replace(",","")) / 1000

That's it... Can anyone submit a patch or lead me to some documentation on how to do this myself?

Hi there,

Lately i've noticed all my shows stopped getting results from bierdopje.com
Now I've found the reason:
All shows are added to the bierdopje_show_ids.txt file with show number being 16178 which obviously is incorrect for my shows. When I manually remove this file it gets recreated with the same faulty info.

When i manually edit this file and enter the right show_id it works flawless.

I am on frodo rc3 with latest subtitle script .

XBMC Subtitles stopped working for me recently.

When I pull up the OSD and go to Get Subtitle, nothing happens. The OSD simply closes and the video keeps playing.

I'm using XBMC Eden on a Mac Mini OS X 10.6.8 with the Fusion Migma V2 skin. This has been my setup for months and I've never had problems with subtitles before.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the subtitles add-on, but no luck.

looks like you have not defined which subtitle script the skin should use.
check the skin settings section of fusion migma. there's probably a setting for it there.

undertexter.se and subscene doesnt work anymore. You can search for subtitles but then it says "downloading subtitle" and nothing happens.

undertexter.nu seems to work again. Temp down perhaps. But what I've notice is that you don't get all subtites. I tried to search with the string "inception". Got 9 hits. But when searching for same thing on homepage I got around 16 hits.

Also hoping we can get subscene working again soon. I thought it was fixed when I saw change log on the new version and I checked the main url is http://v2.subscene.com/ so that's not the problem

Hey everyone.
I'm in a bit of a problem

I have Frodo RC3 installed on my AppleTV2. For some reason, the Subtitles Addon said it was Broken because it did not meet the dependencies. I thought I would uninstall and install a more recente version. Except that after uninstalling it, I can't install it again, the option is grayed out, and it keeps saying the dependencies are not met.
So, what are the dependencies of the Subtitles Addon?
Can I manually install it to bypass this?

EDIT:

Problem solved. I managed to download the Frodo branch from the git server and manually push it and it installed correctly and doesn't say it's broken anymore.
Something was corrupt on my end!

I've tried "search using parent folder" with both Eden and Frodo, uninstalled/installed XBMC resetting all settings, tried every possible setting, but this addon is still not searching for subtitles with the parent folder name.

My movies are in the library, organized by: movies - example folder - example.mkv

When searching normally it tries to sync with "example.mkv", but when searching by "parent folder name" it searches by "example.mkv (2012)" instead of "example folder".


Is this functionality broken or am i missing something?

my machines ip is 192.168.5.11

I don't see how that can be used against my system cause that is not my public IP and you need to get past my routers firewall - and know my root pass.

XBMC log does not reveal your api settings for any of your apps so really don't see the problem.

Log reviles your folder structure so and other info that is needed to help you.

If you don't want to upload your log as all people do, so Amet can see where the problem is, and as it is specified on http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...bug_report

I don't see how you expect someone to help you.

No one has crystal ball - and no meter how hard you try - you can not provide same amount of proper info as debug log.
