What's the word on a fix for Isengard?

There are a lot of potential problems that could be causing a laggy epg. If you post a log, perhaps someone can figure out what exactly your problem is
Truth of the matter is... I can't find all the bugs by myself! If I personally experience a bug, I fix it... I also spend a lot of time tweaking and fixing bugs unique to a users setup and eventually PTVL will share a universal performance between users... but the simple truth is every ones rig is different, every users media configuration, type, source differ... making logs an essential part of helping PTVL grow!
Want something more stable, with better performance... without all the bells and whistles? run PseudoTV Lite
I should also remind users, I run three instances of PTVL in my home 24/7... The EPG's run smooth, no lag... except for the occasional slow down when Kodi or another plugin is running in the background.
Users like krave are the scourge of the development community... sure they don't mind using the free software, and freely running their mouth about issues... but when it comes to actually helping, they come up with excuses and expect others to do the work for them!

Coming from the guy bitching at users over in the original PseudoTV forum because they don't want to use your unstable program?
You've done good but any good developer knows the bugs are most important. Implementing DVR functionality and creating new EPG enhancements when your current build (and builds over the past 6 months) will not even function and with a bunch of bugs in both this forum and the other forum doesn't exactly seem very smart to put your priority on these things. Eventually people are going to be sick also when they realize how you can't even be testing the program yourself. I was trying to help design for your software and contribute to testing, but it seems redundant because hell, even using a custom skin gets replaced every weekly update and comes jammed pack full of new bugs that make it even more unstable. Seriously, do you really use your own software? Because on the past 100 pages (for months) all I see is people complaining over the same problems.
The funny thing is even with posting issues and all the many questions I've asked here (because lets face until just now there has been almost absolutely zero information on what can be done on PTVL), the only response I ever got was by bringing up how you're not as smart as you think you are...
Good luck lil dude
PS: I hope I didn't ruin that precious little ego of yours, was just providing some good feedback

EDIT: I am aware that Lunatixz knows about and is doing what he can about the Youtube situation, already having been on record that the new API will require a rewrite. Has anyone done a postmortem while we wait for that of what is now broken and what can be used still along with options on how to temporarily replace some of what is now gone?
For instance is the Pseudo Theater part of what is broken? I am able to see the IMAX videos, a trailer, then a Welcome to our Theater video before I get a youtube message about invalid parameters--was that in relation to the trailers or some other video or was that in place of the movie that would run previously?
Is there a list somewhere of plugins that are still working and good to go?
I've gotten rid of most of the youtube listed options in autotune but most of the RSS feeds are failing for me too--were these also Youtube dependant?

snesmaster40 Wrote: The RSS feeds didn't use Youtube though (I assume). They grab videos that were directly from the site they came from. Maybe the site or RSS went down?

That much I understand, I'm just not entirely clear on what is sourced from youtube and what is not.

That's possible, but more likely (based on past experience) is that I'm doing something wrong somewhere. I'll have to see if I can re-read the documentation again when I get some more time. Right now they keep asking me to work over time and since Memorial Day is an unpaid day I have a hard time saying no...
Downloading off youtube would work to an extent but not really practical for me right now as my disk is full. Thanks though for the reply.

Quote:Added EPG/Overlay Artwork multi-threading, this should improve performance. Artwork is disable until channel building is finished only when background building is enabled.
Current build no longer needs the "Artwork Spooler" all artwork is queued/downloaded on demand. [Experimental]
