@Milhouse Give us distutils in your builds Image
No, sorry - read the "Feature Requests" section in the first post. If it's not going to be in an official release, there's no point me adding it - that's not what these builds are about.

Lol, I know, I was being kinda sarcastic. I would build my own but then I miss out on all the patches you pull in -.-.
In the last build libcec phyton wrapper has been added. What can you do with it?
Is it possible to use it to switch AVR HDMI port to another instead of RPi's port when Kodi starts? I would really need this function, since my STB is non CEC device.

Don't know why this happened, in past it worked fine and now I had it in every release I tested.

I only have 1 movie/clip which is not running, I only get sound but no video, it is a HSBS with 50Hz.
If I remove the HSBS tag and start the movie as 2D and then switch manually TV to SBS it works.

A sample file would be useful.

Hi, here the file where video is not shown.

Not seeing a problem here with omxplayer or dvdplayer. Plays okay in mono and SBS modes. Do you have
"Use Full HD HDMI modes for 3D" enabled? Any different with it disabled?

What does "tvservice -s" report when playing the video with black screen?
I already tested it with "Use Full HD HDMI modes for 3D" enabled, then I have a blue blinking screen without any signal.
Looks like system is trying but can't. Disabled I have back screen but sound.
Played as normal video (without HSBS in naming) and manually switch to 3D SBS works.

tvservice -s
state 0x12001a [HDMI CEA (31) 3D SbS RGB full 16:9], 1920x1080 @ 50.00Hz, progressive
My apologies if this has been asked before.

How do I install these builds on my micro SD card? I download the .tar file but I am used to .img.

Thanks

Wow that is super helpful! So I just need to have a version of OpenElec already installed on the card? Genius. Thanks again.

All I know is what is in PR:4186 which requested it. Do note that it has similar limitations to cec-client.

From what it sound like you want to prevent your TV from switching to your RPi when you start it?
This can be prevented by changing a default setting "Switching source to this device on startup" found under "System - Settings - System - Input Devices - Peripherals - CEC Adapter". You can also set "hdmi_ignore_cec_init=1" in your RPi's "config.txt".

For the rest it's up to your TV's capabilities to force a specific HDMI port. This wrapper can not help you to force your TV to do anything but making the RPi the current active source. If you use it for your RPi, however, you will break the CEC connection with Kodi and you will not be able to control it with your TV remote any longer.

If 'faking' STB CEC functions is what you are really after then a USB-CEC adapter between STB and TV is something that could help you in combination with this wrapper. This is what I am doing. It is, however, a different topic not suitable for this thread.
