I reported the disappearing Picture Addon to the Kodi Bug Tracker and they claimed it was an Addon issue.

I looked through all my logs on the computer and found multiple references to Kodi error, here are two of them, the others are similar;

I tried lots of ways to try and capture more info but, it seems the crash was sudden and fatal.

lost text in above message, its should read;
had to go back to version 6.3.5 to get them working.
