YouTube Plug-in Thread
@anxdpanic Thank you very much, that helped a lot. Sometimes it's hard to learn what every setting does if one can't imagine the function.
@anxdpanic - my kodi icrash after selection of some videos on youtube add-on, could you please take a quick look? here's debug log during the crash https://paste.kodi.tv/lahonixuko.

Thank you very much in advance.
@anxdpanic Awesome, thanks for the info!

Sure, sorry.  Everything but YouTube has been removed.

YouTube is version 6.3.1 - it was just renumbered for testing.  numbered back correctly now.

Updated log here:
https://paste.kodi.tv/vofiqadibo

Now it's showing 1080p but no 4k.

Cheers!
Ken

Cheers,

@anxdpanic , is this log clean, for you to be able to review?

Thanks!
Ken
You've still got a couple of banned addons (wiki) installed (F4MProxy and F4MTester).

Some of the sports-based repo's are also currently under review.

Oy Vey, sorry, I didn't even know they were there.  Will clear up now...
Also Infiniflix looks like it would violate our piracy policy (wiki), at least from a recent review we had of it (and has now been added to the list) .

Editted to add - both the Willow's repo and the mania services one are banned addons (wiki) too, as they supply sportsmania which is on the list.

It looks like it sees the available streams but says they are incompatible...

@kenmills
Resolutions greater than 1080p are currently not possible from the add-on. InputStream Adaptive doesn't currently support the required container/codecs.
https://github.com/jdf76/plugin.video.yo...issues/257 will be updated if/when that changes.

Ooooh.  Sorry about that, I though 4k was supported.

That makes sense.

Thanks for your time!
Ken
I have the YouTube plugin installed and registered to my YouTube account.  But I subscribe to YouTube TV and cannot see any of my live stations or other programming.  The only think I can see are the basic YouTube channels.

Does this require a different add-on or is there some way to configure?

When in "Videos" there are two entries, one is folder with local saved videos and a button labeled YouTube TV but when I click that all I see are two dots? Nothing else there and no place to do any configuration etc.

I could log in via a decent web browser but so far the only browser I can find for add-ons is almost useless.

(Chrome or Firefox ??)

What am I missing?
Hi to all,

I install the final release of Kodi Leia (v18) x64 and the youtube addon yesterday and came across an interesting issue...

When I came to activate my account (via Youtube Addon "Sign In" then via "youtube.com/activate"), I realized that the addon gave me a 9 char code (ie: GHU-FER-NAP) instead of the old format (ie: BYRG-FHIA).

The youtube activation link still requires the old format code though which means I never could activate my account in the addon...

Might not be direclty caused by the youtube addon but there's not much on the internet on that so tought I'd ask here :-)

Any one got this issue too? Is there a solution yet?

Thank you
Enter the code
The website will error and ask again for code.
This time you're able to enter the "long"-code.
So it was for me.
Odroid-N2 CoreElec Kodi 19 with Aeon MQ 8 Mod
Synology DS 218+ (nfs) with Syno-MariaDB 10
I tought I tried that... but maybe not :-)

I'll try it tonight, thanx!
