alot of people just keep telling me install from zip file .
just wondering see when i get the add ons do i download them as zip on pc or atv2
and if pc how do i get them from there to xmbc
sorry if pain just not very good at this

use filezilla to transfer your sources to var/mobile then you can install them by going to install from zip

Usually when you goto to addon in system there will be a few options on the list one of them is install from zip. That's what I know, and that's a lot for a chap that doesn't know much.

Download the Zips on your pc
connect from your pc via sftp to your atv2 (i use filezilla)
upload zips to var/mobile
install on atv2

Hostname = the IP address of your ATV2.

Im a noob too so this may not be what your after, but to install add ons I simply save the zip file on my network drive on my PC.
Then on xbmc I go into the add ons menu and choose install from Zip file and navigate to my network drive and select th file I previously downloaded.
Ive never need to SSH into my atv2 to install an add on from zip file. But when I have needed to ssh into my atv2 I use Tunnelier and dont have any problems.
