I have a noob question, I have a Microsoft sidewinder gamepad, how would I go about setting it up for NES, Genesis? Is there instructions on how to do it...from what I read do I need to map the keys out?

Can be ignored. The Advanced Launcher directory error message is related to the application (emulator) paths that is not found and not to the roms path. For example, in your launchers.xml file, does C:\Users\urhos\Games\Gameboys\VisualBoyAdvance.exe path exists on your system or it is the path of the VisuallBoyAdvance.exe application from your previous system?
I was able to copy and paste the launchers.xml file to my new setup and all of the rom information is there. However, when I try to launch a game, I get the addon.py script error. Here are my files...
launchers.xml: http://pastebin.com/B5w8Y1qL
xbmc.log: http://pastebin.com/LeLXu3MK
F is the correct drive letter for my games external drive, so that shouldn't be the problem with directories.
Thanks

Most of the emulator have gamepad setup options to assign you gamepad button to the emulated gamepad system.

I tried to have two versions of Adv. Launcher running at once. I followed your youtube video. In Add-on, Programs, I can see Adv Laucher and Adv Launcher 2 which is good.
I set up Adv Laucher for games, and Adv Laucher 2 for software. I'm using Aeon MQ3 skin.
If I create two custom menu buttons (using either favorites or add-ons method), one which says Games, other Programs, and link Games to Adv Launcher 1, and link Programs to Adv Launcher 2.
Now when I go into the menus, they seem to get confused. That is, if I go into Games, it will load into Adv Launcher 1 correctly, if I then ESC back to the menu, then load into Programs it will load into that correctly. If I then ESC, and load back into Games, it will load into Programs (Adv Launcher 2).
It seems to go back to whatever was loaded last.
Not sure why its doing it

For example, Actually I have 5 duplicates versions of Advanced launcher on my XBMC system. With duplicate versions named plugin.program.advanced.launcher and plugin.program.advanced.launcher.duplicate I have the same problem as you. But with duplicate version named plugin.program.advanced.launcher and plugin.program.advanced.online.tv I do not have it.
So, my suggestion, actually to your problem, is to try to rename your duplicate version of Advanced Launcher with a name enough different than the original version of Advanced Launcher to avid this problem.

Your Snes9X configuration into Advanced Launcher seems rights, so the problem could be due to several reasons :
It starts fine but when I click on a game it just flashes for second and then nothing, doesn't say what error it is. Using windows 7
