I run XBMC standalone on Ubuntu 12 on a laptop (chromebook 550) connected to a TV. This add-on causes xbmc to freeze when I close the laptop lid: Remotes no longer connect, and if I open the lid again the keyboard & trackpad don't respond.
I'm currently using smb shares within xbmc, which I realise this add-on doesn't support. Is freezing expected/known behaviour in this situation?
I know this isn't much to go on, let me know what else I can provide & how.

Do I need to do something in particular after enabling this plugin to get it to work? I can add/remove files but nothing happens library wise.
The only reference in xbmc.log is the following:
20:14:42 T:2885716848 NOTICE: -->Python Interpreter Initialized<--
20:16:37 T:2810112880 ERROR: Python script "http://mirrors.xbmc.org/addons/eden/service.watchdog/service.watchdog-0.6.0.zip/default.py" does not exist
(Ubuntu 10.04, entire library is on a single (local) hard drive.)

Apologies folks. Restarted the box and it's working perfectly.
Thanks SO MUCH for a great plugin takoi, one that I've wished existed for YEARS!

Is there any reason to use both 'Library Watchdog' together with 'Library Auto Update'? Library Watchdog updates instantly and Library Auto Update updates based on a schedule. Is there a reason to have both or just pick either one depending on whether you want your library updated in real time or on a periodic schedule?
Sorry, confused about these two different library update packages.

I can't see any point in having 'Library Auto Update' running at all if Library Watchdog is working for you - library updates happen instantaneously with Watchdog, so the scheduled updates of auto update will find absolutely nothing to add to the library when they run.

Or not.
Library Watchdog has reverted to its initial behaviour - doing absolutely nothing, even when a dozen files are moved into existing folders for TV series. A manual update of the library picked up all these files instantly.
Anyone have any ideas? Currently set to use sysctl rather than polling.

I've managed to get it to work with movies, but not with episodes. Can someone confirm or deny this behavior? I'm running Eden.

Hi.
i saw this in the log.. does it mean that watchdog doesn't support xbmc multipath sources?
20:03:06 T:4764 DEBUG: service.watchdog: not watching <multipath://E%3a%5cHD%5cFilm%5c/E%3a%5cSD%5cFilm%5c/F%3a%5cHD%5cFilm%5c/F%3a%5cSD%5cFilm%5c/G%3a%5cHD%5cFilm%5c/G%3a%5cSD%5cFilm%5c/>
