Why is the FAST FORWARD in Music so "FAST"
#1
Mind you im using a remote but its also the same for mouse clicks

when trying to fast forward through a 4 minute mp3 , it is impossible because it takes about a second to run through the entire song.

I cannot find any solutions of any kind. Is this an issue that hasnt been solved yet?

Thanks

you hit the ff button once, it goes 2x. you hit it again, it goes 4x. and so on.

Let me go more in depth

this is specifically for MUSIC, and when i do press fast forward it is way too fast , it goes at 10X or something like that

finishing the song in 1 second

hmm, could be an ae regression, but the way i describe it is how it's supposed to work. will look into it.

EDIT: checked and it still works as i describe it.

so it still works as it should for me. both using a keyboard and using the rat to push the buttons on the osd (or clicking the bar). no remote here but i cannot see how it would be any different. how exactly do you do things, do you keep the button pressed? which platform? which version of xbmc?

EDEN 11.0

I just tap on it on the remote, and also click on the fast forward button. Im on Windows 7 Ultimate 64
Im also using LM Remote to change mappings on my remote

but i doubt this could be the issue as the forward button on mouse click does the same

Sounds like a debug log might be helpful, as this might be a platform specific issue - and only some entity might know what settings you are using.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.

seems this was actually borked in eden. at least it's reproduced on osx. impressive of us to ship with such a bug! Big Grin
