[CLOSED] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC
(2012-12-27, 20:27)Angelscry Wrote: Ok... great to hear it. Big Grin It was surely a bug that has occured only on a specific GIT version of Frodo and that was quickly fixed by a following version. That not always easy for me to make a support on develloping versions of XBMC... mostly when nobody use exactly the same version, Wink Thanks for the feedback.
I was changing some thumbs of 2 emulators which existed already, and somehow i got into an infinite loop again. Dunno how i did it. Adding a new program with fanart/thumbs does still work ok.
I'll let you know if i can reproduce it again

Hi

Is it possible to scrape all fanarts instead of 3 (like in TheGameDB when you can pick first, half last)?

Friendly Regards!

Simple, Advanced Launcher (due to it's coding) do not allows to do it. Amd even if it was possible to download several fanarts at the same time to use them (for example) as extra fanarts, there is actually no maintained skins that will allows you to display them (for the program section). And so... downloading fanarts only for downloading fanarts... that's not really the goal of an application launcher. Wink

He better use Artwork downloader instead or manual search on Google. If i cant find any art by Gamefaq or GameDB, ill search it up manually, and put it in the media directory which i created. You can select any art after which you want.

Hello,

I use Frodo Rc2 and AdvLauncher 1.10.8 and can not scrape anything!
It tells me 0 items imported. I try it with NES, SNES, N64 roms with no results...

Wink

Thanks for your reply! But would it be possible to select more then 3 fanarts (i.e. like first, half, last, very last, this is really the last one, ok one more and its done). I just want all the fanarts because im using those as backdrops in mediabrowser Confused

thanks for your reply!

Any possibility to do it automatically? im speaking of 2000 roms and it would be a pain in the a$$ to do it manually. (and does this also works with TheGameDB?)

Friendly regards.

2000 roms in advanced launcher? Shocked I should use Rom Collection Browser instead for that manny roms.

HOw do you use artwork downloader with TheGamesDB?

Ok, i got another problem. When i choose to download the fanart it works only for the first one. Half and Last doesnt work, he downloads the image from "first" again. What should i do?!
(2012-12-28, 22:21)Sgt.Stedenko Wrote: HOw do you use artwork downloader with TheGamesDB?
Not, its only for TV Shows and Movies.

Did you try Rom Collection Browser? If not, i think you need really add them (semi)manually Wink

I did try RCB but it only downloads 1 fanart. It seems now Advanced Launcher is download the last fanart instead of first. So it works nowSmile Thanks for the info!

No. Your problem is linked to the fact that Advanced Launcher do not support samba paths. Advanced Launcher do not support them because mot of the emulators to not support samba paths into their command line. To bypass this you need to locally mount network share as a network directory into Windows (to assign it a drive letter.)

Heuuu... I'm not sure to understand you ask me to add a feature to an application launcher (add-on for XBMC) to scrap images from a website to use them as backdrop for another software (Mediabrowser). Why do you not ask directly Mediabrowser developers to add this feature?

Advanced Launcher have an option to automatically scrap item fanarts.
