I don't really use this skin, but I suspect the "Documentaries" option lists movies in your library that have the "Documentary" genre? If this assumption is correct, then I would venture to guess that none of your movies are classified with this genre?

If you want to remove this option from the main menu, there's a skin settings page (Home window options) where you can hide various main menu options. You can then create your own custom item for "Documentaries" and have it invoke your smart playlist.

Don't know what you mean by "custom paths". There are options for "Custom Playlist" and "Custom Favourite". Try creating a favourite for your smart playlist and then creating a Custom Favourite that points to this favourite.

Sorry I meant custom playlist. i add a custom playlist to the home menu called documentarys and set its path to my doku.xsp file.

Is the rule field path corect for my documentaries folder? Shold it say "starts with" or perhaps maybe "is"

So instead of this

I added the documentaries folder to favourites and tried cerating a custom favourite. It showed my documentaries favourite so I selected it. but when I went back to the home screen I couldnt see that favourite added anywhere on the main menu? Where is it supposed to be?

Also why do I see a documentarys folder and a dokumentatieon folder when i click on the documentarys main menu link?

Im trying to set it up as a custom playlist, not a favourite. After failing to set it up as a custom playlist I tried to set it up as a custom favourite to see if that worked but as I said above it wouldnt work.

okay no matter what i did custom playlists didnt work. Is that because you have to create them in the library perhaps? But custom favourites worked if I set the location video>files>documentarys as a favourite then added that in the skins favourite menu.

Anybody have any ideas about this blue text in the upper left? It seems like a debug setting but I checked and there's no option. It appears to show the current window .xml file its on. The home menu is home.xml, system is settings.xml, a fullscreen TV show is Fullscreen.xml ect... ect...

Remove Custom_Overlay.xml from the skin/720p directory. My guess is you downloaded the skin from the GIT which has this enabled instead of the repo version which is preferred method for installing.

PERFECT SKIN for me!

apart from that i cant change the background for movies or TV shows. it doesn't come up as an option.. any fix for this

Hi,

Just trying the skin out.

XBMC stops responding and uses 100% cpu. Have to force quit it. Needed to remove guisettings to return to confluence to start xbmc again.

....

It did work at first. I removed a bunch of the home screen items such as docos, hd movies, pics etc. But thats about all I changed.

The log file stops responding at ...

Unrelated to the crash. What changes are there in this skin? Is there a list somewhere. I mainly like the idea of it being lightweight but I couldnt see that much difference in the brief time of using it.

I'm trying to customize your skin a little. I hope you don't mind. But I'm a little stuck. Could you help me a little?

I would like to create serverval custom menu items with the wirdget RecentlyAdded Items:

- Kids Music
- Kids Movies
- Movies (Without the Kids Movies)
- Music (without the Kids Music)
- Music Videos (Concerts)

As you can see, I would like to seperate the Kids Music and Videos from the 'adult' Music and Videos (and no, not that adult movies ).
I know I can do this by using smart playlists. I've already read the tutorials how to add a button to the home skin, so I'm familiar with that, and I can get that to work.
But I can't get the "RecentlyAdded Items" get to work. I think I have to edit IncludesHomeRecentlyAdded.xml to, except that is 1 step to far for me. (first of all, because I don't know all the ID's wich are used.)

I don´t use the home menu items HD-Movies and Documentaries, so I could change those to Kids Movies and Movies (without Kids Movies) What do I change in IncludesHomeRecentlyAdded.xml?

For music I need to duplicate and edit the Recently Added albums? Can I link this to a custom playlist item in the home.xml?
