[CLOSED] Advanced Launcher - Applications Launcher Addon for XBMC
Hello, I'm wondering if there's a way to configure advanced launcher so that upon pressing enter it will always bring up the Info screen of the item/game? And from there the user would press Launch to play the game.
Is it possible to open 2 files at once? I am trying to run GTA San Andreas and need xpadder for it to work with my xbox controller. I dont need xpadder with any other games so I cannot leave the program open. I was hoping there was a way I could open them together.

No there is no way to do this directly from Advanced Launcher. That the skin which decide how stuff and information are displayed on the screen. Maybe to can ask to the maker of the skin you are using if it is possible to add such kind of option or not.

It is possible to do this making a specific .bat script that will start xpadder a then that will start GTA San Andrea. Then into Advanced Launcher, instead of starting the GTA San Andrea executable you select the created .bat script.
So I'm struggling on xbmcbuntu again.

Is there a *right* answer to getting emulator audio to work in xbmcbuntu? I upgraded xbmcbuntu to 12.1, which allegedly doesn't have the "xbmc won't let go of the audio" and I still can't get emulator sound AND xbmc sound on the same output. I *can* get emulator audio by setting the XBMC audio to HDMI, but then the XBMC audio doesn't work as I'm only using the analog out (for now). I can't be the only person having this problem.

Note: emulator sound works (of course) when launched as standalones, it is the usual problem of xbmc not playing nice with other programs.

I think it miss the end of your asound.conf file. Have you try this : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1376322
angelscry: previous post got cut off, i was typing the conf file out reading from another screen, hit tab and enter a few times, and it posted by accident...

Tried the method you suggested there, that makes the emulator audio work *if* I have disabled Play GUI sounds in XBMC. That's pretty silly to have to go manually disable the GUI sounds before playing an emulator. Is there a method that makes it work all of the time? Wasn't that supposed to be one of the fixes in XBMC 12.1? ("XBMC no longer hogs audio for Linux and on resume audio will continue to work in Linux")

As far as I know, there is no other method.
Brutal. Thanks for the input, I'll try a post in the general forum. (Sorry for the ~12hr delay in responding; infuriating and long work day got in the way, didn't have any me-time)

PS I still love Advanced Launcher. Keep up the great work
Is there a way that when the program you launched terminates, it goes directly back to XBMC instead of the windows desktop?

You can try also this :
  • As audio must be released after 10 seconds by XBMC, if not used. You can try to adjust the delay before Advanced Launcher start an application ("Adjust launcher delay" option into Advanced Launcher settings) over 10000ms.
  • If you are using PulseAudio on your system you can also try to do this : http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...pid1322276

You can try to set XBMC Video setting to "True Fullscreen" and into Advanced Launcher, set your launcher's "Toggle XBMC into Windowed Mode" advanced option to OFF. So you will normally not see the desktop anymore.

If it's not working the other way is to a script, that will start your program, and once this one will be close, the script will force XBMC to get focus and maximize. You will found different kind of such script here : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=199

I can't seem to find the 'Toggle XBMC into Windowed Mode' option in the Advanced Launcher configuration.
Am I in the right path?

The option is into your Launcher context menu ("C" Key) > Edit Launcher > Advanced Modification : http://www.gwenael.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=6#p6
I'm having trouble launching Zsnes on Xbmcbuntu, basically the games with launch at all. If I select a game it just goes back to the list without playing the game or even showing the emulator at all. I've found if I remove the - m parameter the emulator at least launches but only shows the gui of Zsnes without playing the game. Any solutions for this? Btw mednafen for gba is working fine, just not zsnes for snes.

Maybe the ZSNES command line has changed since the related Advanced launcher configuration wikipage have been created. If you start XBMC from a terminal window and then start ZSNES using Advanced Launcher, if there is an error with ZSNES it will be displayed into the terminal window. It could surely help us to found what is going wrong.
The games themselves started launching somehow but it still won't work with the - m flag, I'll try what you suggested when I get home. Thanks!
