libstagefright - Experimental hardware video decoding builds
The exact message is Error Running Sports Devil.

Then it says Could Not Connect To Server.

This issue did not exist in the previous build as it is still working so some minor fixes are necessary on the Gotham build. Will keep testing and posting my feedback.
Is there an easy way to change these test apks to install as something other than xbmc via org.xbmc.xbmc?
I'm kind of curious as I would like to install a standard build, maybe a nightly, and a couple of the libstagefright milestones.
This way we could keep our userdata via advancedsettings but be able to test the same video files easily across multiple versions.
I'm sorry if this doesn't necessarily belong in this thread let alone xbmc's forum in general.
Interesting for Koying?

Herman pinged me regarding this. I'll try to make something out of it...
I apologize in advance if this is the improper thread to post within.

The current libstagefright does not seem to work with the Samsung Galaxy S4 (Jelly Bean 4.2.2).
When I attempt to play a video from an SMB share, the processing wheel in the lower right states "working", but no video screen opens.

This is in contrast to the standard XBMC for Android build, that plays - but obviously skips with 1080p videos without HW acceleration.

Please advise with your thoughts, and thank you for all of your hard work!
My thought of this - read the 1st post and do a proper report.

Hi,
Not sure if in correct place but am glad to say I've downloaded and installed the latest build onto my Tab2 10.1 JB 4.1.1 and all vids 720p/1080p run great, no freezing or stuttering. Same on my Nexus 7 JB4.2.2 but for some reason can't install Gotham Alpha 2 on my Nexus 10 it just comes up with App not installed weird.

Heya. Using the build on an Ouya and it is working fantastic, but one problem. An SFTP config that works perfectly in the Windows XBMC client fails in this experimental build.

Tried on MK809 with stock ROM and it is not working, the video doesn't start at all, it is stuck with the "Working.." and it is completely blocked, I have to force closing XBMC.

I think I miss the libstagefright lib on the stock rom, is there a way to install it?

thanks

I try today to flash your rom and there is a problem. 2 pc's that i have , can't find the 808b. I tried it with the plug'nplay way , i also tried it with the reset way. In the first case i'm able to see the nand drive but the flash rom tool can't see me. Any thoughts about what can i do? I purchase today my mk and tried to see some 720p streams via xbmc but the frames were to slow so i'm counting on you.

Resuming videos doesn't work. This is on an ODROID-U2 CM 10.1 playing over SMB
I had the same issue on my OUYA. I switched to FTP (which I also had to do on my ATV2) and skipping and resuming is working fine now.
Any change for a new Gotham Alpha3 hw build?
I see Herman also released new Rockchip vpu drivers on https://github.com/HermanChen/Rockchip_4...agefright/ two days ago.

Thanks
