Why not WMC as backend?
I use a hdpvr so my recordings and live tv are h.264. Do you need a tester for h.264 live tv?
TV Mosaic on Windows 10 as PVR Backend |  1 RaspberryPI 3 Client (LibreElec) | Amazon FireTV box | 5 Amazon FireTV sticks | FireTV Cube | 2 Nvidia Shield TV
Tuners: HD HomeRun 4 ATSC (OTA) | IPTV

Well, life calling again. My sister-in-law is having a baby today and then I'll be out of town for the Memorial Day weekend.

Making progress, but when beer and crawfish call, you answer. Big Grin

Just an update:

I've got live TV running in XBMC, but it's amazingly (and unusably) laggy at the moment. Going to work out the kinks and hopefully have something soonish.

Thats amazing news, sure hope you figure out how to make it run smooth.

And seriously, if you manage to get this working, you guys really have to make a donate button :-)

Haven't even messed around with it. I have some ideas, but those are sometime down the road as far as getting things in working order goes.

Actually as long as the backend views your front end as an extender then copy once content should play fine. It all comes down to "extender or net tuner"

Turning XBMC in to a WMC extender "the concept of wmc as a backend" then the holy grail of live TV and multi media playback had been achieved in this scenario. Cant wait!!!!
