Hi,
this is an add-on for watching videos from reddit.com!
BlueCop already did a simple one - but some useful features are missing and he is offline for quite some time...

Tips for finding video-reddits:
- Use the integrated video-reddit keyword search
- Top20 reddits sorted by number of videos
- Overview of popular media-reddits

You find so much interesting stuff that you will never get bored again!

Features:
- Add/remove reddits via the addon
- Add videos to addon favourites (per reddit)
- Show comments via Chrome Launcher/XBMC WebBrowser
- Video search within a reddit with selectable sorting/period
- Integrated search for finding reddits by keywords like 'documentary'
- (Randomly) play all/unwatched/unfinished videos per folder
- Extended reddit requests for listing supported content
- Browse all videos per hoster
- Filter out low rated videos
- Hide/show NSFW content
- Download videos

Supported hosters:
- Vimeo.com, Youtube.com, Liveleak.com, Dailymotion.com

Show comments via Chrome Launcher/XBMC WebBrowser:
- Zoom: Chrome - "Ctrl"+"+/-" (Chrome remembers it) | XBMC WebBroser - Use settings
- Please read the linked threads for usage instructions

If you want to copy&paste reddits, edit the "subreddits" file in the add-ons userdata directory.

Note: I implemented extended reddit requests for listing supported content,
so you can also nicely browse reddits which mostly contain other content. Such as 'funny'.

Just tried the addon - Japanese text displays beautifully

However I get a search error inputting Japanese text (English search is ok)

I am running Lununtu/Eden, error log here.

I inputted 飲み会 in the above example - I used a text string I knew would come up with a positive hit, in fact it told me it retrieved 2 items before giving a script error. Let me know if you think it's Eden specific, I will try another frodo on another platform.
Note: Inputting Japanese text in the Dailymotion addon works, its just the list display that fails...

The update has gotten rid of the error I was getting when I inputted Japanese text strings in search.
The text strings also work - 日本 (Japan) for example produces two hits in the addon.
However using other Japanese text strings that I have seen in titles do not work - I think the problem is the site will not produce a hit for partial word strings. For example Whirlpo will not work, but Whirlpool will. Fine for English, but not for Japanese as there are no spaces between words, so I have to input the entire string きのこ帝国 (actually two words) to get a hit.

Hopefully you can get Dailymotion working without this restriction

Reddit search supports wildcards, so you can add a * to your query.
