Hi Pecinko, Thumbs up for the amazing progress your making with this skin.

I just have one issue that I can't seem to solve myself. I am using plexbmc 3.2.2 and vertical main layout and can't get shelf items to be displayed correctly for their correct category. If i press across to the left and use your new menu, everything is displayed fine.

OK, I have not been able to get the Artist Slideshow working in Amber on OpenElec.

Here is a full debug log:

I have enabled Artist slide show in Advanced Settings, and AS works in Ace and Aeon Nox.

Any clues?

Request:
Would it be possible to give status information about a tv show?
Like cancelled, ended, returning series.
This seams to be important information.

Sorry, not important to me at all. Though, I will probably try to skin Next Aired add-on when I find some time.

No clues really. It is working for me fine in both XBMC and PleXBMC add-on. AFAICT from your log, script is running in Amber without errors.

You mean you have more than one movie category and you are seeing mixed items from all movie categories on the shelf?

1. No. You would need to edit it manually. Whats "make default"?

Take a look at Includes.xml and search for Home.Main.Menu.Items & Home.Submenu.Items

Hi all

Does anybody know if it is possible to add to the main menu screen an option for the switching to a different profile?

I have created a new profile for my kids and I have gone through the motions of switching profiles and its a convoluted process to do so via the normal menu options.

So I wanted to see if there was a way to have a front end menu option that allows the profile to be switched with ease.

Possible?

I wasn't sure if it was possible so I never thought that far ahead. I suppose that taking the user to the login screen so they can choose the profile would probably be the smartest option. At least that saves messing around with going into Sub menus which is what would have to happen now and inevitably end up with someone getting lost somewhere. I need to keep it as simple as possible for the wife and kids........(wife mainly).

For a label then something simple, "Switch Profile, "Profile Switch" probably makes sense as its generic. Not everybody would have a profile specific for the kids and may have multiple profiles for other media of a more "provocative" nature. Wink

Why do you go to submenus when you need to log out? Focus quit in the main menu, press ok/enter and select logoff.

Yes that is correct, I have two tv and movie sections

You will need to use most recent Git version of Amber as I have pushed improvements yesterday evening and latest plexbmc from KodeStar in order to have it filtered per library section. See plexbmc thread on Plex forums for more info. Some more improvements are pending Smile

Yup, SpaceMonkey is right. Alternatively, depending on a remote you are using, you can map logoff function to a remote button.
