Erm and you missed also the other rest to install the corect PPA and so on.

Your first attemp to follow a howto has misserably failed - retry.
I knew I was loading the full Ubuntu, but it was because I was having so many problems with the mini version completing install. Are there processes in the full version that interfere that aren't loaded in the mini, or what's the advantage?
I'll start the install over but I'm 100% sure I ran both those line you quoted, because I remember looking to make sure I didn't get the "wayland" error. Maybe it has to do with me using the full ubuntu vs the mini.
Regardless, thank you for the advice I'll give it another shot. It's amazing to me how long this process takes versus the other installs I attempted though. Hopefully it's all worth it!
