Hi Mudislander,

I´ve been using your skin and I think it's really awsome.

I can se that in your last release, there is an option in Home Menu to "Use Live Backgorunds". But this option is not available for smart playlists.

Are there any chances to this being implemented in future releases?

That was the original idea, but don't think it'll make this mod. Mostly working on stuff for Gotham now

I to have exactly this problem. Until today i thought that it was a power problems with my PI because of my IR receiver and a bad power supply.
But because of the fast response on my PI with this skin i chose to copy all xbmc data to my Atom ION media pc running Windows 7. And bam. Video Menu > Files submenu = Freeze
Not only that submenu but all of them and only sometimes. Usually after after some idle time.

Mudislander can you please take a look at this problem. I would be really sad to lose this skin. If you need something from me the let me know.

Not sure, but try disable any screensavers. The mod may not be getting focus properly after exiting the screen saver. also set up your system properly, don't try to clone a different screen. Try turning off any plugin or toggle that tries to search for extrafanart or images that are not in the xbmc database.

This is something I would like to do as well. Either be able to edit the submenu, or create a home screen menu item for the EPG directly.

Already mentioned previously (somewhere in this thread) LiveTV submenus are difficult for this MOD as they usually require 2 click actions to get to the deaired window, but because of being able to setup submenus to a preference, only 1 click action is passed on.

is there a way to force posters to display on OSD instead of Logo or Clearart on Both Movies and TV shows

it seems to be hit and miss as to what movie or show has either a logo or clearart but pretty much all have a poster so would prefer that over the screenshot of an episode or whatever

Think the order was Clearart then Logo then Poster then Screenshot (without checking). Personally ClearArt is my favourite therefore first choice.

You'd have to edit the xml or delete some artwork, know it sounds drastic - but what's the point of having ClearArt images if you don't want to use them?

Hmm, I get posters for movies and screenshots for TV on the OSD.. I have logo's and clear art for most of my stuff but it doesn't show? (I'd rather have posters for the TV OSD as well)

Is there a way to determine the default menu item that is selected in the skin when XBMC launches (or when a new profile loads)?

That option was not included due to the fact you can reorganise your menu in whatever order you want so therefore put the item you want focused in the correct spot. However I've just done a code snippet for the new Hybrid that does this, so when I find time will port it back.

A whole new widget would need to be coded for this, doubt if I'd find the inclination for the work. My media system has satellite tuners but am now on cable so the whole PVR section is U/S to me.

Mudislander - using CCM on a ANDROID OUYA. Under programs-android is a list of apps that can be launched for android. Launched right from CCM. That works fine.

But if I FAVORITE these apps and point to them from other locations in CCM they are not launched.

Any idea what is happening? Maybe it's the android launcher that's built into original confluence under XBMC for android that is not a typical link to the actual file. Speculating.

Problem is, I know absolutely zero about OUYA. There is a XBMC command to start an android activity, but I'd need to find someone or a skin with experience on how it works.

Is there a way to have a background pulled from the internet? I mean, is there a way to edit some xml where I can enter the web url of the image i want as an background?

Are talking about the home screen as a background for one of your menu items ?

If so it's possible by editing your guisettings.xml file in your userdata or profile folder.

Be carefull this file contains ALL your settings and cannot be edited while XBMC is running.

Look for the Fanart setting for your menu item - The example below is from Hybrid as I'm not running CCM - but is the same except for the skin name.

Bear in mind the performance of this idea will vary greatly depending on network availability, speed and such like.

What I mean is, right now I have the DEFAULTSKIN.jpg image as the background image throughout XBMC and would like to change that to an image located somewhere online. So which xml do I have to edit and how do I do that?

Same as above, sorry I don't have the exact setting name ATM, but it should be descriptive enough for you to figure out. Below is the setting name from Hybrid.
