I could increase the wait time before clicking on the play-button...
I might be able to handle this in the MceRemoteHandler.exe which handles this.

Grimster could you respond to this message and let me know if you want to try a solution that I'm working on.
It would allow you to increase or decrease the wait time before the play-button is clicked.
Let me know and I'll send you a modified version.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yes I would very much like to try out that possible solution. Smile

I've created a new version of MceRemoteHandler.exe and added support for reading settings through a ini-file.
Please download the zip-file (http://www.dsd.se/viaplay/lib.zip) and copy the files which are included in the zip-file to the lib folder located here: %appdata%\xbmc\addons\plugin.video.viaplay\resources\lib

If you want to increase the time before playback is started then open the file settings.ini and change the parameter "WaitPlayback" the time is in milliseconds which makes 1 second 1000 milliseconds.

Let me know if this works for you.

Have you had any luck with the new version of MceRemoteHandler?

Try this instead:http://www.dsd.se/viaplay/lib.zip
There was an invalid character in the previous link.

Got it. Thank you!
Will try it out as soon viaplay decides to work properly again.

Tested few times today but I have not got it to work properly.
Plugin starts and browsing works fine.
When I try to start a movie/tv series or sport program it sucessfully minimizes xbmc and luanches chrome with the correct play page. Program start to buffer from 0-100% then it just stops.
If I manually try to start the program via the play icon I get the same. The only way to start the movie is to exit both xbmc and the script.

Any ideas?

That's strange the playback itself should not be affected by the plugin.
I just tried it here and it works just fine.

If you manually open the browser and goto Viaplay and select some content it plays fine, is this correct?

Correct.

This is very strange, the buffering has nothing to do with the addon itself.
As I mentioned before I tried to playback several episodes of The Blacklist without any problems, could you try and see if any episode from that tv-show works for you?
The show should be located under TV | Popular (TV | Populärast) if you using the Swedish Viaplay. Try this via the addon in XBMC.

If someone else is experiencing this behavior as well then please post here or send me a PM.

Narrowed it down to my guisettings.xml
Tried couple of other skins like aeon nox 5, confluence and transparancy and plugin works fine.
As soon as I revert back to Aeon nox 4.1.9.9 the problem returns.
Does anyone have Any ideas how to fix this? Or why it happens?

I guess I can delete the guisettings file and start from scratch but with the Aeon nox 4.1.9 there is a lot of configurations to do before everything is back in place.

Finally found the solution! Smile

Had to change audio settings in system menu and now it works! Strange as every other video plugin worked exept Viaplay.

Ok. After a few more days of testing I found that it seems when wasapi is enabled this plugin fails to start playing the stream. That is for wasapi in system settings/audio and the first option. Wasapi for passthrough works if its enabled. But the first audio option must be set to directsound for stream to work. This is in xbmc 13 gotham.
Other video plugins works with wasapi enabled in both options.
Anyone that can test if you expirience the same problem?
