DXVA problems in XBMC 13 Gotham with Radeon HD3xxx HD2xxx

If I upgrade my GPU to one that is not problematic (i.e. not an HD38xx), should I reinstall the standard build of XBMC or continue using this build? Just curious if there's any advantage/disadvantage.
To avoid possible issues is preferable to use official release.

Same issue on my Radeon HD3200 with Gotham 13.0 stable release.

Should I just stay on 12.3 until a new Gotham release?

As I said before official version is preferable, but you can use any version at your own risk and with no support.

I have tested the alternative build by nille02 and it is working 100% for me now, Thanks,
Hope to see this fix in a future release.

Just wanted to share that since I started this thread.

I agree this version works 100% for me also.

I tried Gotham 13.1 beta1 today and also Helix nightlies. Same bug with DXVA on those versions also. Hope also they will add this to future release.

nille02, thanks for your setup.exe, it fixed my problem -> I couldn't get DXVA mode working at all in Gotham, on my old Toshiba satellite laptop w/ Radeon 3400, until I installed your R2. Thx for this, and let's hope some fix for older hardware makes it into the main branch

Strange.. I have an AMD HD 3200 integrated graphics and use nightlies all the time, never experienced any issues.

Check if you using dxva2 (play a h264@maxL4 file and press O (O not zero)) you should see the used decoder.

I have only build xbmc with the patch from cg110 and afedchin has made another patch. Both have looked at the problem and make the workarounds for this issue.

But i'm glad that the build are helpful for you.
