Hi everyone,
as my Raspberry Pi always was a little slow, I decided to buy a charming new Intel NUC. After using the Ubuntu XBMC install script everything works perfectly, except for the remote control, as the NUC does not provide CEC - so that's where the trouble began:
I have a Samsung BN59* remote using the NEC protocol and I tried installing LIRC on Ubuntu 14.04 - after one week of following all the guides and howtos it's still not working, here's my findings:
- installing ir-keytable (devinput device) works, but I cannot set delays properly, so it's not really useful, even if it's the easiest setup
- irrecord from LIRC says it cannot find the gap/pattern whatever.. may be due to the NEC-protocol?
Can anyone pleaaase provide me a simple setup/how-to on how to get this done, I don't wanna mess around too much on this box..
